Readers Journal 26- Faceless

Dear Readers,
I am reading the book Faceless by Alyssa Sheinmel. It is about a girl named Massie, and she had to have a face transplant because, while she was on her morning run, lightning struck a tree, which created a fire, and the fire burnt her nose, cheeks, and nose off. She was in a coma for a couple of months, and when she woke up, she thought that she was still on her run. After she was better and out of the hospital, she was responsible for taking her pills. And, her boyfriend, Chirag, was super clingy and constantly driving Massie places. Massie feels that Chirag is only doing this because he feels bad, and he doesn’t love her anymore. This is not true.
I am going to use the trait Thought, because she thinks a lot about what others think of her. Here is a text from the book about Thought:
‘ No one will know that I used to be an athlete, that there used to be freckles on my nose, that I used to have a dimple in my left cheek. They might wonder how I got these scars, but they’ll be too polite to ask, and I won’t ever tell. ‘
Sincerely,
Nora
